Short Answer:

You can setup realtime shipping under TAX & SHIP > real-time Methods.  Real-time methods allow you to quote precise rates from major carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

Detailed Explanation:

1. You should already have a shipping account with that shipper.  If you haven't done so already, go to that company's website and open an account with them.
2. Then, from within the shopping cart manager, you will need to register your online store with the shipping company.  You will only need to do this once.  To do this, click on the CONFIGURE link next to the real-time shipper that you want to use, and look for the registration process.
3. After completing your registration, follow any instructions provided to you by the shipper.  For example, USPS requires you to contact them to activate your account.
4. On your realtime CONFIGURE page, fill in the required fields.  These let the shipping company know where you will be shipping from.
5. From here, you just need to put a checkmark next to the shipping methods you want to offer.  We recommend only choosing a few, as choosing all may overwhelm the shopper with too many choices.
6. If you prefer, you can also add extra fees to any shipping method. 
   
7. The color field is also optional.  It allows you to highlight shipping methods on your orders list. 
   
1. For example, when a customer orders, and they selected over-night shipping, you can have it be highlighted in red on your orders list.  This way it catches your attention so you can give that order immediate attention.
