Short Answer:

For certain pages, the shopping cart software has a minimum fixed width of approximately 600 pixels.  Please ensure your content area of the follow pages can support that width

  • Checkout
  • Customer Account

Detailed Explanation:

While you can modify the template of the product pages, and thereby modify it to fit in as narrow of a page as you want to, other pages (e.g. checkout) do not allow this, simply because checkout fields need to be a certain length to be usable by shoppers.

Please ensure that the aforementioned pages can support the width specified. For example, you might have a page that is 800 pixels wide, and the content area on the page could be 600 pixels, and a column that is 200 pixels.

Within a year or two, this will be much less of an issue as monitor size, and screen resolution increases.
