Short Answer:
All you need to do is enable the feed, set times for creation of the feed, and input your Googlebase FTP info.
Detailed Explanation:
- First, setup your GoogleBase account if you have not already, and after doing that you will need to:
- Follow their instructions for setting up an FTP account
- which also includes registering a feed name and name the feed the same name as you have in your shopping cart account (the default is google_base.txt). Select "Products" as the item Type.
- After your GoogleBase account is setup, log in to your shopping cart account, and go to MARKETING, then Item Feeds, and edit the Googlebase/Froogle feed in the shopping cart manager.
- Set the feed to be created once a week, or once a month.
- In the FTP settings (you may need to expand that section by clicking on it), enter in your Google Base FTP username and password; if you have not already done so, go to Google Base and set that up first.
- Set your feed to be uploaded once a week/month (whatever you chose previously for the publish setting)
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
- You can now click the Test connection button in the FTP settings to be sure you have the right FTP settings, as well as click the Upload button to upload the feed immediately if you prefer.
Please note that GoogleBase FTP info can take awhile on their side. We have seen it take up to 24 hours after creating the account, or even just changing the FTP password.
