Short Answer:

There are various reasons when you might want to do this; For example, you are advertising certain products on your homepage and want to link directly to them.  Or perhaps, you would like to bypass our automatically generated catalog partially/completely; either because you carry so few products,or have so few categories that you really don’t need our catalog.

There are basically two different methods to accomplish this. In either case,they require you to edit your website’s HTML.

Detailed Explanation:

METHOD A - standard
To get a link to a Category (including bypassing your main catalogpage if needed):

1. From the shopping cart manager, go to PRODUCTS
2. Click “List Categories”
3. Click on the Category you want a link for
4. Under “Advanced Settings,” click on “Direct URL to this Category”
5. You will find the link you need on this page—IMPORTANT please remember though that if you ever delete and recreate a Category, that the link will change, meaning you will need to update it on your website to match!
6. Advance tip if you need to get links to several categories:  You will discover that the links for all your categories are very similar to each other, with the only difference being the Category ID.  You can find your Category ID’s on the “List Categories” page—IMPORTANT please remember though that if you ever delete and recreate a Category, that the link will change, meaning you will need to update it on your website to match!

To get a link to a product page:

1. This follows the same process as above, except of course, the link can be found on the product page, instead of the Category
1. PRODUCTS > items List
2. Click:  “Direct URL and Add to Cart Code for this item”

To get a link to “Add to Cart”

1. See previous.

METHOD B – this method is not proven, but seems to work for everyone that has tried it.

1. Browse the Veracart catalog on your website, to the page you want to link to.
2. Copy the URL
