Short Answer:

There are a couple reasons why this can occur.  The first reason is by far the most common.

  1. Your images are not being referenced securely (this seems to only be a problem in IE).
  2.
  3. The secure checkout code was not properly copied and pasted into the checkout page.
  4.
  5. You are using Flash, and the link to the player on Macromedia's site is referencing an insecure location (again, only a problem in IE).

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Verify that all the images were uploaded into the manager’s secure page CODE > (next to Checkout Settings) > Edit Secure Checkout.
  2.
    1.  Edit the secure code and remove any absolute URL’s to any images
    2.
      1. e.g.http://www.YourSite.com/images/something.jpg should be shortened tosomething.jpg )
      2.

    3. You can upload images manually (at the bottom of the page) if for some reason the software did not do it automatically.  This is more common with rollover images and images referenced from within stylesheets.
    4.

  3. Re-copy and re-paste the SECURE Header code and the SECURE Checkout code into the page (Header codes are found in the CODE tab).
  4.
  5. The hyperlink to Adobe, to download the Flash player needs to be  referenced to https instead of just http. I know this is foolish sounding to some of you programmers out there, since it’s only a link, but that’s the way  IE is.
